An 18-year-old man has been arrested after he admitted to stalking a girl and masturbating in a group of trees in Phoenix, police said.
According to the police report, on Aug. 31, Zacharey Garrett Murray was masturbating while he was waiting for the victim, who he had seen near N. 95th Avenue and W. Hubbell Street the previous four days.
The report stated Murray said he would stop at the sound of footsteps breaking small sticks or crushing leaves, but said that day he missed his signal. The victim saw him and the victim's cousin was able to point Murray's house out to police.
On Wednesday, police saw Murray walking by Sheely Farms Elementary on W. Encanto Boulevard.
A restraining order was issued and Murray was taken into custody on one count of stalking and one count of indecent exposure.
