PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Police said one man has died from injuries in a drive-by shooting in Phoenix early Friday morning.
Phoenix police identified the man Friday afternoon as 43-year-old Michael Anthony Thomas.
Lt. Matt Giordano of the Phoenix Police Department said a group of people were standing around a car and talking to the driver in front of a house near 21st Street and Broadway Road when another vehicle pulled up and an occupant opened fire about 3 a.m.
Two people were wounded before the suspect vehicle drove away, according to Giordano.
Thomas died at the hospital. The other victim, a 20-year-old man, is expected to survive.
Giordano said witnesses could provide only limited information, and that police were looking for a person driving a dark car.
Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
