DOT reopens SR 264 near Tuba City

TUBA CITY, AZ (CBS5) -

The Arizona Department of Transportation reopened State Route 264 east of Tuba City on Wednesday night, according to an ADOT news release.

A severe thunderstorm Tuesday caused water to flow over a bluff above the highway and wash out the roadway, according to ADOT.

ADOT said crews will return in the near future to make permanent repairs.
