FLAGSTAFF, AZ (AP) -

A Flagstaff woman charged in a hit-and-run accident that killed a Northern Arizona University student has pleaded not guilty.

Authorities say 22-year-old Kelsey Lou Cody is accused of manslaughter, leaving the scene of a fatal accident and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Flagstaff police say 21-year-old Jordan A. Murphy-Mahoney was declared dead at the scene of the accident about 11 p.m. Sunday.

They say the Flagstaff woman was riding her bicycle and was hit by a truck that left the scene.

Witnesses gave police a detailed description of the vehicle involved and Cody was arrested Monday. She entered her plea Tuesday in Flagstaff Justice Court.

The Arizona Daily Sun says Murphy-Mahoney was an English and psychology double major and she was scheduled to graduate this spring.
