Phoenix police arrested three men in connection with two robberies Friday.
A police spokesman said a shot was fired in the second robbery, but no one was hurt.
Officers spotted a red, mid-1990s Chevrolet Blazer that matched the description of the suspects' vehicle near 59th Avenue and Indian School Road around 3:30 p.m.
The Blazer turned down an alley and had a flat tire, and the suspects fled.
Police apprehended them a short time later. One of the suspects was bitten by a police dog and was taken to a hospital for treatment while the other two were in custody.
Police said they found items in the SUV believed to be tied to at least one of the robberies.
No other information was immediately available.
