
The body of a 52-year-old woman was found in her partially submerged car after she was swept away in a flooded wash south of Marana, according to the Pima County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office positively identified the woman as Angelina Carrasco.
Sheriff's spokesman Deputy Tom Peine said scores of searchers from multiple agencies had been looking for the woman on the ground and air .
Teine said deputies got a call from a motorist stuck in a wash about 4:30 a.m. Friday. The man was able to get out but heard another man yelling for help and saying his legs were broken.
Rescuers found that man on a bank surrounded by water around 6 a.m. He told them he had been there for hours but his wife had been swept away.
