David Anthony was sentenced to death a second time for the first-degree murders of his wife and two stepchildren.
A jury sentenced David Anthony to death for the first-degree murders of his wife and two stepchildren.
The sentencing was read about 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Maricopa County Superior Court. It was the second time Anthony was given the death sentence.
Anthony was convicted and sentenced to death for the crimes of nearly 10 years ago, but the state Supreme Court tossed the verdict, ruling that prosecutors didn't have enough evidence to push a motive claiming that he did it all to cover up molesting his stepdaughter.
He was found guilty again after a second trial in August.
He was convicted without their bodies being found. It wasn't until construction crews unearthed metal drums full of acid three years later that police found Donna Anthony, her 14-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son.
