PRESCOTT, AZ (CBS5) -
A Prescott man was in stable condition at a Phoenix hospital after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver on a city street Wednesday night.
Police said Wesley A. Cron, 38, appeared to be walking across 200 W. Gurley St. about 9:45 p.m. when a westbound dark-colored car struck him. The driver appeared to slow before impact, but Cron landed on the hood and possibly broke the windshield. The driver continued on, police said.
Cron was flown to John C. Lincoln Hospital-North with multiple lacerations, including several deep head wounds, police said.
Prescott police were investigating and asked that anyone with information about the collision to call 928-777-1988 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232.
