A woman died of smoke inhalation after a fire at this Peoria apartment complex.
PEORIA, AZ (CBS5) -
A woman died of smoke inhalation after she was found on the floor of her apartment during a fire early Thursday morning.
A Peoria Fire Department spokesman said the fire was in one unit of a two-story apartment building about 3:45 a.m. near 91st and Peoria avenues. No other apartments were damaged.
The spokesman said it wasn't known how old the woman was, but she died at a nearby hospital and smoke inhalation was a primary cause.
No other information was immediately available.
