An 18-month-old child was run over and killed by a family member backing out of a driveway in Guadalupe on Wednesday evening.
The child was taken to Maricopa Medical Center and pronounced dead, according to Guadalupe Fire Chief Wayne Clement.
Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies closed Carlos at Calle Biehn and Calle Guadalupe for the investigation that began around 9 p.m. No impairment was suspected, according to an MCSO tweet.
No other information was immediately available.
