LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ (CBS5) -

An undocumented immigrant was arrested on Monday after authorities found a stash of weapons and drugs in a trash bin at a Litchfield Park home.

Abraham Ortega-Leyva was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on numerous felony charges.

The arrest came after Maricopa County sheriff's deputies were investigating reports of a suspicious person jumping the wall into a resident's backyard.

Deputies said they discovered a bag containing 1 1/2 pounds of crystal meth and less than one pound of heroin. They also uncovered nearly $20,000 in cash. Weapons were also found, including an AR-15 assault rifle with a loaded high-capacity magazine, a loaded .40-caliber handgun and two framed pictures of a man with some children.

Witnesses told deputies they saw Ortega-Leyva near the trash bins where the drugs, guns and photos were found. He matched the picture in the photo and descriptions given to deputies by witnesses who placed him near the trash bin.

Sheriff's deputies tracked him down at a nearby home and he was taken into custody in the 13000 block of W. Citrus Way while trying to run out of the home.
