MCSO: Body found in Salt River

MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ (CBS5) -

Search crews have found a body in the Salt River near Coon Bluff, according to authorities.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday morning that they can not confirm yet if it's the body of 22-year-old Joshua Williams.

A massive search has been under way since Sunday when Williams, who recently moved to the Valley from Chicago, disappeared while tubing down the Salt River with friends.

MCSO Officer Chris Hegstrom said Williams was on an inner tube which was tied to a group of 12 to 15 friends also on tubes. Williams somehow got separated from the group and was last seen between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
