A man has been arrested after allegedly fighting Mesa officers Sunday.

Police said there was a warrant out for 50-year-old Roland Lederer's arrest and police said when officers found Lederer on South Robson he tried to get away. Officers grabbed Lederer and attempted to arrest him. Police said the suspect pushed and punched the officers.

The suspect pushed one of the officers to the ground and ended up on top of the officer, according to Mesa police. That's when they say a Taser was used several times.

The officers had minor injuries.

The suspect was taken to Arizona Regional Hospital and then booked into the Mesa City Jail on two counts of aggravated assault on an officer, one count of resisting arrest, obstructing a public thoroughfare and a warrant for failure to appear on a previous charge out of Mesa City court.
