Man arrested in Mesa in connection to CA stabbing death

MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

A young woman was found stabbed to death in Laguna Hills, CA, over the weekend, and the murder suspect was arrested in Mesa.

Derek Pinski, 25, was arrested at his father's Mesa home on Saturday near Eighth Street and North Alma School Road.

It's the same day the Orange County Sheriff's Department believes he stabbed his girlfriend, 24-year-old Alexandra Tang, inside a home in Laguna Hills.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pinski will be extradited back to Orange County where he is expected to be charged for the murder.
