PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A man was shot multiple times Sunday just before the lunch hour in a Phoenix neighborhood, according to police.
Investigators said they are looking for who is responsible and have some investigative leads involving persons and vehicles.
The crime scene surrounded the area around 15th Avenue and Polk where police said the shooting happened at approximately 11:45 a.m.
Phoenix police Sgt. Amanda Faust said the victim, a 34-year-old Hispanic man, took himself to a nearby fire station for help. Faust said that is when police were called.
Faust said the victim was shot multiple times, including at least once in the upper body.
"We do have video surveillance from one of the fire stations in the area; however, we are still working that," said Faust.
Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital and is in serious condition. Authorities do not know the motive behind the shooting.
