PHOENIX (AP) -
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said 20 people, both children and adults, were hurt in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 17 north of Phoenix.
The late-morning Sunday accident north of Black Canyon City blocked the northbound lanes of the interstate for nearly two hours but lanes have since re-opened.
The people in two of the vehicles were not injured.
The DPS duty office says the children who were hurt were all in one vehicle. They all were wearing seat belts and received non-life threatening injuries.
One person was briefly trapped in one of the vehicles involved.
