Four people were ejected in a single vehicle accident on Arizona 87 near the Bush Highway turnoff early Sunday morning.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials said the accident happened at 8:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes of AZ 87 at mile post 196, a couple miles prior to the Bush Highway junction.
Officials said four people inside the vehicle were ejected when the vehicle rolled off the right shoulder.
Rural Metro spokesman Colin Williams said their responders treated the four patients on scene.
Williams said two of the injured were flown to Scottsdale Osborn hospital and 2 others were taken by ground ambulance. The highway was briefly closed while the helicopters took the patients out.
