FD: 1 person injured in Tempe house fire

TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

One person was hospitalized after a house fire broke out in Tempe on Friday night.

Fire officials said crews found the fire extending into the second story of the home on North Saratoga when they arrived.

One person was in the back of the building and was taken to Scottsdale Osborn Hospital for smoke inhalation, according to authorities.

Both Tempe and Scottsdale fire departments responded.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
