FLORENCE, AZ (CBS5) -
Four people were arrested after trying to hide from sheriff's deputies, and one of them was a juvenile.
A Pinal County Sheriff's Office deputy was on patrol Aug. 26 south of Casa Grande on Chui Chu Road when he ran a registration check on a white Chevrolet Suburban with four people inside. The check came back showing that there was not proper insurance coverage on the Suburban.
The deputy was attempting to pull the Suburban over when it pulled into a residence and parked.
A PCSO deputy thought that the Suburban was just trying to avoid being pulled over so he drove down Chui Chu road and parked not far from the home. The Suburban drove past him minutes later, but now the only person in the Suburban was the driver.
A traffic stop was then made on the Suburban where the driver was identified as Faye Ventura, 40. Ventura admitted to dropping off three people at the residence even though Ventura admitted to not knowing anyone at the home. It was later determined Ventura dropped off her teenage son, adult daughter, and her daughter's boyfriend because all three of them had active arrest warrants.
After additional PCSO units arrived and permission was granted from the owner of the home, they searched for the three suspects. All three were found during the search as they tried to hide.
The suspects were identified as Adrian Valdez, 26, Marla Molina, 22, and Ventura's juvenile son. Valdez had warrant for his arrest out from AZ Department of Corrections for a parole violation plus a warrant out of Casa Grande from the Justice Court for assault. Molina had a warrant for a DUI hit-and-run out of Maricopa County. The juvenile even had an outstanding arrest warrant.
Ventura was arrested and charged with trespassing and driving on a suspended license. Both Valdez and Molina were charged with criminal trespassing, burglary, and hindering prosecution.
