KINGMAN, AZ (CBS5) -
Four children were in the custody of Child Protective Services after they were discovered living in unsanitary conditions at a motor home in Kingman on Friday.
Mohave County Sheriff's deputies said Linda Ruby Pinto, 58, and her granddaughter, Linda Reann Pinto, 19, were arrested and booked into Mohave County Jail on suspicion of felony child abuse.
Deputies said a neighbor was concerned for the children's welfare and suspected the motor home had no power or water.
Deputies said they found two large coolers with dirty dishes in stagnant water with swarms of flies outside the motor home, metal siding bent into a "U" and used as a shower, and human feces on the ground about 50 feet from the door of the motor home.
Once inside, deputies said they found the suspects and four children among spoiled food and moldy mattresses.
Linda Ruby Pinto was living in the motor home with four grandchildren, including Linda Reann Pinto, and Linda Reann Pinto's 2-year-old son.
Two boys, ages 2 and 11, and two girls, ages 9 and 12, were taken from the home by CPS.
Deputies said the county planning and zoning department determined the motor home was in violation of zoning ordinances and that the property owner would be contacted.
