Topless march in Phoenix
CBS 5
PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Valley men and women stripped down to nearly nothing on Sunday to protest for equal "clothing" rights.
The topless participants wore strips of tape over their chests to avoid arrest.
They walked from Steele Indian School Park and then down Central Avenue for Equality Day.
Organizers said the want clothing equality for both sexes.
"Men can walk down the street topless," said one participant. "They can bare their chests. Women cannot, and we don't think that's fair, and we want the same rights."
Organizers said they want the laws changed so they can bare their chests legally just as a man would.
