NOGALES, AZ (CBS5) -
Early Friday morning, the monsoon storms created extensive damage and threatened several homes in the Nogales area.
The city's main street, Grand Avenue, was closed Friday morning as were some roads in Stanfield and San Manuel areas of Pinal County.
Authorities said Nogales ports remain open despite the downpour.
Port officials said all cross-border traffic, while lighter than normal, is still moving and they have minimal flooding in just one of the lanes.
The Dennis DeConcini and Mariposa Ports are experiencing some water accumulation but officials said it hasn't dramatically impacted travel through the area.
