A Phoenix man has been arrested after he was caught allegedly running a prostitution ring.
Phoenix police said a female officer met the suspect, William Eugene Dorsey, on Thursday while she was posing as an escort through online ads.
Dorsey encouraged her to be a prostitute, offering to provide her with a "car and an apartment" if she worked for him and gave him all of the earnings, according to the police report.
Police said Dorsey allegedly had a woman working for him since May 2012 out of a variety of hotels in Maricopa County.
The woman told police that she had recently been working out of a hotel located on West Greenway. The woman also said Dorsey would take all of her earnings, which she estimated at more than $7,000.
Dorsey was arrested Thursday at on N. Back Canyon Highway on two counts of inducing prostitution.
According to the police report, Dorsey has prior convictions of pandering and child prostitution.
