MESA, AZ (CBS5) -
Feeling a little achy? If so, you aren't alone.
With the monsoon in full effect, folks are experiencing extra joint pain and it doesn't stop there.
The drop in barometric pressure paired with the increase in humidity can cause back pain, migraines, swelling and stiffness.
Doctors told CBS 5 News there are things you can do to ward off pain.
"Remember to drink plenty of water, take the anti-inflammatory medications recommend by your doctor and try to participate in a low impact or a no impact exercise program to keep those joints mobile," explained Dr. Penny Krich with EVDI Medical Imaging.
Krich also said that taking Omega-3 Fatty Acids benefits joint health as well.
