SELLS, AZ (CBS5/AP) -
Two homes on a southern Arizona reservation remain uninhabitable after a microburst damaged parts of the Santa Rosa Village on the Tohono O'odham Nation.
The storm struck Monday afternoon and damaged more than 30 buildings in the area and knocked out electrical power for about seven hours. One person was injured.
It was the third and most destructive storm to cause damage and power outages on the reservation within the past week during Arizona's monsoon season.
Authorities said 14 residents chose to spend the night in a local shelter.
Damage assessment is ongoing with the Pima County Office of Emergency Management providing staff to assist with the process.
Response teams from numerous Nation agencies, including the Tohono O'odham Police and Fire Departments, the Tohono O'odham Office of Emergency Management, and the Tohono O'odham Utility Authority coordinated with the Nation's Gu Achi District to assist residents and restore power.
