FLAGSTAFF, AZ (CBS5) -
More than 150 items stolen during a yearlong home burglary spree have been recovered by Coconino County sheriff's deputies.
Deputies investigating 40 residential burglaries served two separate search warrants on Aug. 10 - one on a home in the Blue Ridge area and a second at a residence in Winslow.
The home in Blue Ridge is occupied by 52-year-old Edward Sedillo Sr. The home in Winslow is occupied by one of Sedillo's relatives, deputies said. There sheriff's investigators said they found the 150 items that were believed to have been taken during some of the burglaries that began in early 2011.
Some of the property included a vintage jeep, several off-road vehicles, numerous power and hand tools, a large air compressor and a wide variety of other items.
During the course of the investigation, an active neighborhood watch group informed deputies of Sedillo's suspicious activity.
Detectives said they determined that Sedillo moved into the neighborhood of Clear Creek Pines about the same time as the burglaries in Unit 8 and Unit 9 began.
During a July 17, 2011 traffic stop, deputies said Sedillo had a pickup truck in which the vehicle identification number had been changed and the truck had been reported as stolen.
Detectives also learned that Sedillo is currently on probation in Navajo County on the original charge of possession and trafficking of stolen property.
