A Maricopa County Superior Court judge sentenced a former Paradise Valley school bus driver to lifetime probation and ordered him to register as a sex offender for trying to start an online relationship with a person he believed to be a 13-year-old girl.

Judge Joseph Welty handed down the sentence Wednesday for James Louis Baker, 54, and came on the heels of an agreement in which he pleaded guilty to two felony counts of luring a minor for sexual exploitation.

Baker was arrested in September by the Chandler Police Department after they said Baker chatted online with the girl, saying he wanted to meet up with her and have sex. Police said during the chats, Baker, who used the screen name "ILUVECLASSICCARS," exposed himself to the girl via a webcam.

Authorities said Baker and the girl agreed to meet at a Chandler park on Sept. 29, 2011, where the two would engage in sex acts. When Baker arrived, he was taken into custody by police on felony charges of dangerous crimes against children.
