Fundraiser to be held for family of officer killed in off-duty crash

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A local group is holding a fundraiser for the family of a Phoenix police officer who was killed in a car crash.

Pete Tuchalski died on July 26 from his injuries after a crash on I-17 just south of Black Canyon City.

Tuchalski leaves behind his wife, Lynn, and his daughter, both who were in the vehicle at the time of the crash, and his son.

The fundraising event runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #2, located at 12851 N. 19th Ave. in Phoenix.

Tuchalski had been with the Phoenix Police Department since 1996.
