PFD to hire 28 new firefighters

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

The Phoenix Fire Department will soon be able to amp up its firefighting force.

The city just received nearly $4.5 million to hire 28 new full-time firefighters.

The new positions will replace positions eliminated during recent budget cuts.
