PD: Suspect in sex assault met victim on social media

GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

A 49-year-old man has been arrested after police said he sexually assaulted a woman he met on a social media site.

Glendale police said David Wright was at the victim's house for a second date on July 26 when the assault happened.

Investigators said Wright was previously convicted of sexual assault involving a serious sexually transmitted disease related to an attack in Florida more than 20 years ago.

Phoenix police are working on other cases they believe may be related to Wright.

Anyone with information on the man is asked to call Glendale police at 623-930-3000 or Phoenix police at 602-262-6141.
