PEORIA, AZ (CBS5) -

Peoria police hope someone can identify a suspect seen in surveillance photos taken during a pharmacy robbery on July 31.

Officers called to the CVS store near 83rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road studied a surveillance video that showed the suspect entering the store and walking around for a while.

The robber picked up some items, took them to the prescription drop-off counter and asked the pharmacist about them, police said.

As the pharmacist looked at the items, the robber put a note on the counter demanding oxycodone, officers said. He also grabbed his waistband, indicating to the technician he may have had a gun, police said.

After the suspect was given the pills, he ran out of the store and left the area on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as black and in his early 20s. He is between 5'9" to 5'11" tall. He was also wearing a gray Boston Red Sox baseball cap with a sticker on it.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to call the police tip line at 623-773-7045 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
