LUKEVILLE, AZ (AP/CBS5) -

Two Scottsdale residents are in custody for allegedly attempting to smuggle nearly 47 pounds of marijuana into southern Arizona by putting it inside ice chests packed with seafood.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Lukeville Port of Entry say 60-year-old Kent Edward Raley and 45-year-old Robyn Michelle Mayhan were arrested Wednesday.

When they searched Mayhan's SUV, officers say they found 25 packages of marijuana worth an estimated $23,000.

The vehicle and drugs were processed for seizure.

Raley and Mayhan were turned over to the Pima County Sheriff's Department for prosecution. Authorities didn't know Thursday whether either person had a lawyer yet for their case.
