Michael Cox
YUMA, AZ (CBS5/AP) -
A Yuma High School teacher has been arrested in a child pornography case, police said.
Michael Cox, 37, was booked Tuesday into the Yuma County Adult Detention Facility on suspicion of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
The Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began an investigation about a month ago and Yuma police assisted with the execution of a search warrant.
Detectives seized several electronic media devices and they said Cox was found in possession of pornographic images of children on his computer.
A call to Yuma High about how long Cox has been employed at the school and what subject he teaches wasn't immediately returned.
Officers said anyone with information about the case should call the Yuma Police Department Investigations Bureau at 928-373-4600 or 78-Crime to remain anonymous.
