Valley airport announces plans to add airline

MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport is expanding its service.

Beginning Nov. 15 Frontier Airlines will offer a daily non-stop flight to Denver, CO.

Frontier is the third airline that will fly out of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, but will be the first to carry daily service to a major metropolitan airport and international hub.

"Frontier's announcement of service to its Denver hub makes Gateway Airport a literal gateway to the world," Mesa Mayor and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority Board Chair Scott Smith said. "It means east Valley travelers can go to destinations across the country and internationally with a single plane change, which is especially important for business."

Frontier is now offering fares as low as $69 each way.

You can get that offer by logging onto the airline's website.
