PHOENIX (CBS5) -
The Gila River Indian Community announced Friday that it does not support its former chief of police in his run for Pinal County Sheriff.
Gila River Indian Community spokesperson Zuzette Kisto said Derek Arnson was named the community's police chief in April 2010.
On Dec. 7, 2011, he was fired as they investigated allegations of selective discipline, intimidation and harassment.
Kisto said the investigation, which was conducted by an independent firm, supported the allegations against Arnson.
Previously, Arnson left his police chief spot with the Buckeye Police Department after allegations of misconduct.
