PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Prosecutors say a video was taken as a central Phoenix man was shot and killed.

A judge set bail at $1 million for the victim's wife, 31-year-old Rebekah Mellon.

She made her first appearance in court Thursday.

She was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail Wednesday afternoon for suspicion of first-degree murder.

Rebekah Mellon claimed she found her husband, 46-year-old Donald Mellon Jr., with a bullet wound.

Prosecutors said she shot him, and they said they have a remarkable piece of evidence.

A prosecutor told the judge that video recorded Rebekah Mellon grabbing a gun and then shooting him.

Police said they found the gun stuffed between couch cushions near his body.

Police said there were prior incidents of domestic violence at their home.

Police said the couple, who had been married for seven years, had an 11-year-old child who was not home at the time of the shooting and is now staying with family.
