An executive at a Tucson medical manufacturing firm has lost his job after directing verbal attacks at a Chick-fil-A employee.
Adam Smith filmed himself berating the employee Wednesday for statements the company's president has made in opposition to same-sex unions. Smith then posted the video online but later removed it.
The Arizona Daily Star reports that Smith stepped down as chief financial officer of Vante shortly after.
Vante president Roger Vogel says Smith's comments were inappropriate, and the decision for him to step down was mutual.
Gay rights activists and other gay marriage supporters are planning a "Kiss In" at Chick-fil-A restaurants Friday as a protest.
The event follows a customer appreciation day Wednesday that set a one-day sales record.
