NOGALES, AZ (CBS5) -
A man was arrested Wednesday for trying to smuggle drugs into the U.S. valued at roughly $183,000, according to authorities.
Customs and Border Protection said officers seized nearly 26 pounds of marijuana and 11 pounds of methamphetamine in a truck owned by 23-year-old Alfonso Cuevas. He was trying to enter the U.S. through the Dennis DeConcini Port, according to officials.
He was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
