PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Silent Witness is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man sought in three armed robberies in May and June.
Police said the suspect robbed a Family Dollar Store at 1800 E. McDowell Rd. at 8:34 p.m. May 10; a 7-11 store at 4500 N. 24th St. at 10:13 p.m. June 3; and another 7-11 store at 9:13 p.m. June 5.
In the first robbery, the suspect stood by the register talking on his cell phone, approached the clerk, produced a black pistol from a bag and demanded cash, police said.
After taking the money he fled the store and got into the passenger side of a gray Nissan Sentra with dark tinted windows, according to police.
He is described as Hispanic, 30 to 35 years old, 6' tall and 200 pounds with a possible facial scar above his lip, two moles on his face and wearing sunglasses.
Anyone with information about the suspect or any of the robberies is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (480-948-6377) or visit silentwitness.org. The reward could be worth up to $1,000.
