GLENDALE, AZ (CBS5) -
The city of Glendale is asking the NHL to extend the city's operating deal for the Phoenix Coyotes and Jobing.com Arena.
City spokeswoman Julie Frisoni said they have extensions from the NHL and will be discussing them with the council in executive session on Tuesday afternoon.
The city is asking for a one-month extension.
Last month, Glendale approved a 20-year, $324 million lease agreement with potential Coyotes buyer Greg Jamison.
The NHL has yet to finalize the sale to Jamison, a former San Jose Sharks chief executive.
