Memorial services set for Phoenix policeman

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Memorial services for Phoenix Police Officer Pete Tuchalski will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd., in Peoria, and 9 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Church of the Valley, 7007 W. Happy Valley Rd., in Peoria.

Tuchalski died in an off-duty traffic accident Thursday, according to Sgt. Trent Crump of the Phoenix Police Department.

Tuchalski joined the Phoenix Police Department on Dec. 2, 1996. He is survived by his wife, Lynn, a son, and a daughter, Crump said.

Tuesday's services are open to the public.

A fund has been set up to assist Tuchalski 's family with funeral costs. Anyone wishing to donate can do so at any Arizona Federal Credit Union in Pete Tuchalski's name.
