PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Besides pencils and paper, kids need their immunizations in order to head back to school.
To help with that, the Scottsdale Unified School District partnered with Scottsdale Healthcare to offer immunization clinics.
The clinics will be held July 30 to 31, Aug. 2 to 3 and Aug. 6 to10 from 12 to 4 p.m. in the Board Room at the Education Center, 3811 N. 44th St., Phoenix.
Immunizations will be available to any qualified student, not just those enrolling.
Vaccines are supplied through the Arizona Vaccines for Children program.
New 2012 state guidelines provide immunizations to all uninsured, KidsCare, AHCCCS, native American/Alaskan natives and children of families whose insurance does not cover immunizations.
A parent or guardian must accompany each child. Parents should also bring each child's immunization record.
Before enrolling at the Education Center, parents or guardians will need to fill out the online enrollment form at enrollment.susd.org.
For more information about enrollment, please visit www.susd.org or call 480-484-6110.
