FD: 2-year-old pulled from bottom of Mesa pool

MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

A 2-year-old boy is in the hospital after he was pulled from the bottom of a Mesa pool on Monday afternoon.

Witnesses said the child was under water for approximately two to five minutes in the pool on West Garnet, according to Mesa fire spokesman Forrest Smith.

Smith said the child was reportedly crying when he was taken to Cardon Children's Hospital.

His condition is unknown at this time.

No other details were immediately available.
