TUCSON, AZ (AP) -
Authorities have arrested a stolen car suspect after a high-speed chase in Tucson and a search of a hotel complex.
Tucson police say 19-year-old Brian Altland has been booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center on suspicion of unlawful flight from law enforcement, theft of means of transportation and possession of burglary tools.
A county sheriff's deputy tried to pull over the car Altland allegedly was driving after observing a traffic violation about 1:30 a.m. Monday.
A pursuit ensued and deputies learned the car was reported stolen out of the Tucson Police Department.
The suspect eventually pulled into a hotel complex and ran into a room.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for the hotel room and forced entry and Altland surrendered.
Police don't immediately know if he has lawyer.
