Mesa PD: Man arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest

MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

A man was finally captured after being Tasered multiple times while resisting arrest, according to police.

Mesa police said a man, later identified as Derrick Seamster, 38, was reportedly trespassing in the 1800 block of E. Jamaica just after midnight Sunday.

When officers arrived, they told Seamster he was under arrested and told him to turn around. Police said Seamster then hit the truck of a car with his fist and began yelling. He resisted officers attempt to handcuff him and he was Tasered, but he continued to resist.

Mesa police said officers then pushed Seamster to the ground and he was Tasered again.

Seamster complied and was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

No officers were hurt.

Seamster had two marks on his chest from the Taser probes, according to police.
