PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Glendale authorities say a man was found shot in a field near 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road early Friday.
Glendale police spokesman Tracey Breeden said police were called after a report of gun shots in the area about 5 a.m.
Breeden said officers found the young man in a field in the 6600 block of Montebello Avenue.
Glendale fire spokesman Matt Young said paramedics treated an 18-year-old man with gunshot wounds.
Young said the man was taken by ground to St.Joseph's hospital in critical condition.
Breeden said the investigation is in the earliest stages, and they have very little information to share.
