Surveillance image of suspect
FLAGSTAFF, AZ (CBS5) -
A man considered armed and dangerous is on the loose in the wake of a holdup at a Flagstaff convenience store.
Coconino County sheriff's deputies said the suspect had a handgun when he ordered the clerk at Woody's Service Station and Convenience Store to empty the cash register.
He also stole two wallets from customers in the store, deputies said.
He left the store on foot and was last seen westbound from the Shell Station in the direction of Interstate 40.
The suspect did not fire his weapon and no one was injured during the robbery, sheriff's investigators said.
Surveillance cameras at the gas station show a gold or silver vehicle, possibly a Buick, pull up to fuel pump, police said. The passenger entered the store and is believed to be the suspect.
The man leaves the store and runs around the back to discard his ball cap, boots, dark shirt jeans and sunglasses, police said. He eventually walks back to the car and leaves.
The man is described as Hispanic, 5'4" tall and about 140 pounds.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts are asked to call the Coconino County Sheriff's Office at 928-774-4523.
