Phoenix police arrested a 27-year-old man they said had more than 100 images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children on his home computer.
Richard Michael Valles was arrested after a cyber tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children. The tip indicated said he was uploading images depicting the sexual exploitation of minors.
Police said they made contact with Valles at his home and he allowed them to preview his computer for any images. Officers found some images and then got a search warrant for the computer.
Valles told investigators that the computer was his and he used it to access Yahoo and Facebook.
Police said one of the previewed images was from Yahoo Messenger.
The other people who lived in the house told police they did not use the computer, which was in Valles' room.
A search of Valles' computer and Yahoo account resulted in the discovery of more than 100 images and videos of children between the ages of 5 and 13 being sexually abused.
Valles was booked into Madison Street Jail on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
