A 55-year-old Phoenix man was arrested and is facing several charges after police said he tried to molest two young girls.
Richard Joseph Alday is facing two counts of attempted molestation of a child and one count of luring minors for sexual exploitation after police.
Police said an 8-year-old girl and 9-year-old girl were over at Alday's house on Saturday swimming. Alday invited the children into the bedroom where he tried to grope them, according to Officer James Holmes of the Phoenix Police Department.
Alday tried to reach into the 9-year-old's shorts and then tried to grab the 8-year-old's groin, Holmes said.
Alday also asked the younger victim if he could see her private parts, and took photos of her underwear while she was doing handstands and the splits, according to police.
On Wednesday, officers served a search warrant at the home and Alday was arrested.
Alday was granted given $165,000 bond by the court.
