Body of airmen found in Marana

An investigation is under way to determine the cause of death of a Davis-Monthan Air Force base airman in Marana.

The airman's body was found around 5:30 a.m. Monday.

The airman's name is being withheld until 24 hours after his next of kin is notified.

"Davis-Monthan mourns the loss of one of our Airmen" said Col. James P. Meger, 355th Fighter Wing commander. "In this time of sadness, the Desert Lightning Team offers our thoughts and condolences to all those affected by this tragedy."

No other information is available at this time.
